2nd Place – Peace Hills Trust Indigenous Art Contest

I absolutely love buffalo (perhaps some of you already know that). So when my daughter painted the picture to the left, I think I actually gave a little yelp — I liked it so much.

Well this month, we found out that a big CONGRATULATIONS!! was in order for my daughter Darby Havrelock… YAY!!! She has achieved second place in the 37th Annual Peace Hills Trust Indigenous Art Contest!

Darby’s winning piece is entitled “Resilience – a creation inspired by the pure grace and beauty of the forever resilient buffalo, with colours as vibrant as their spirits are strong.” We will be happily attending the upcoming art show held on November 1, 2019 where all the winner’s art will be auctioned off. Congratulations Darby!
